![]() Drawn and Courted
It is possible to draw sketches of points and to view these using ChartMatePro's "Court" function. This feature is generally used to illustrate a particular characteristic about a player that you noted during the match. For example, you might observe that a player has difficulty hitting high, loopy backhands that have a lot of topspin on them. You might draw a picture of this indicating the location of the ball on the court that proved difficult for the player. This is another example of ChartmatePro's winning edge technology. How hard is it to 'Chart' a match using ChartmatePro?
One thing that we discovered while trialling ChartMate PRO on the ATP Tour is that many of the coaches are computer phobic. Some of the very well known coaches were actually terrified of computers and stories about needing someone else to print your email out so you could read, dictate and then have someone else type the response, were not uncommon. The most reluctant coaches said it took 1 or 2 video taped matches to get the feel of the programme before charting live matches. Those who were a little more comfortable were charting effectively after about 2 sets. In general we found that coaches were delighted at how easy the system was to use and was countless times more efficient that using pen and paper. |
